Pentax 17

I was intrigued to see what Pentax would come up with when they announced a new film camera. I didn’t know what to expect but we got a half frame which is something I’ve no experience with.

I’m not going to give an in depth review, I’m not very technical with my photography either. I do it because I enjoy it.

I enjoy using this camera, I admit to not enjoying the price but a new film camera from a good manufacturer in 2024 is something that should be supported and it will lead to the development of cameras.

It’s pretty easy to use, build quality seems good (dropped it once already) but in most parts it is quite cheap feeling. My main frustration is not managing to master a decent close up shot of anything yet. Apart from that, I like it.

I’d recommend picking one up if you can. Mine came from West Yorkshire Cameras.
